Great to know! I knew David's voice because he routinely at in the kitchen sitting on a backless stool with his dinner on a jack stand tray surveying the dinner service. He almost always had a sweater draped round his neck and sunglasses perched on his pate. His voice was recognizably sonorous especially in contrast to Mr. Capote's! And yes the famed author did dine at the Pier House when visiting Key West when they were not staying at David's island retreat a few miles off Key West.
